Smile Perfect clear aligners
Smile Perfect is one of the cheapest ways to buy clear aligners by post in the UK, and including a retainer set and a refinement at that price is unusual. For a straightforward case in an adult who has had a recent check-up, the money side is attractive. What holds it back is accountability: no dentist is named, the refund pages disagree with each other, and the supplier's company details are not given.
- Price
- £849 to £1,299Both arches, paid at once: £849 daytime, £949 night-time, or £1,299 Premium, which is not explained. One arch from £649. Includes one retainer set and one refinement. Details
- How you start
- Home impressions, or a £99 scan at a partner practice in London, Birmingham, Manchester or New Malden. Neither is an examination.
- Who checks your progress
- Remote. Dentists are said to review your records; none is named on the UK site.
The terms name the supplier only as "Smile Perfect, a private company", with no company number, under Irish law. If something goes wrong, it could be hard to know who is responsible. If you value clearer clinical responsibility, Straight Teeth Direct costs more but assigns a dentist or orthodontist to plan and monitor your treatment, and Smileie includes an in-person examination.

Offers and discount codes
We have no verified current offer from Smile Perfect. That does not mean there is no promotion: we list one only after checking it. The prices in this review are Smile Perfect's prices without any promotion.
If Smile Perfect shows a discount or a code when you visit, check its end date and terms on Smile Perfect's own site before you rely on it, and compare the total you would pay. We list an offer only after checking it on the provider's site and recording its terms, including any end date the provider gives.
How treatment works
You either take impressions at home with the kit and post them back, or book a £99 digital scan at a partner practice in London, Birmingham, Manchester or New Malden. Smile Perfect then sends a 3D preview, and you can ask for changes. Once you approve it, your aligners are made in the UK and posted within 10 to 16 working days. Day-time aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day for three to six months on average. Night-time aligners are worn 10 to 12 hours a night for six to nine months. The dental team checks your progress photos through an online portal.
Plans and what you pay
| Plan | Paying at once | Paying in instalments |
|---|---|---|
| Day-time, one arch | £649 | £749 |
| Day-time, both arches | £849 | £1,049 |
| Night-time, one arch | £799 | £849 |
| Night-time, both arches | £949 | £1,149 |
Checkout prices checked 26 October 2026. The homepage has shown lower figures than the checkout, so check the total before you pay. The instalment versions cost £50 to £200 more than paying at once, which is the real cost of spreading the payments. The shop also lists Premium plans at £1,099 for one arch and £1,299 for both, without explaining what Premium adds, so ask before choosing one.
Every standard plan includes the impression kit, a 3D plan, all your aligners, one retainer set, one refinement and delivery. A £99 scan at a partner practice replaces the kit if you prefer. Two further retainer sets cost £179.
Support during treatment
Progress is checked through an online portal, where you upload photos and the dental team reviews them. Smile Perfect lists a UK phone line and email, and gives a Covent Garden address. Its UK homepage also tells readers how to book a scan in Utah, because the same business sells in the US, which is a sign that some pages are shared between markets.
If an aligner does not fit, or you feel pain rather than pressure, contact the dental team and do not move to the next set until you have advice.
With no named dentist and no in-person visits, keep your own dentist informed during treatment.
What we like
- Low prices
Plans start at £649 for one arch and £849 for both, paid at once.
- Retainer and refinement included
Every plan includes one retainer set and one refinement.
- Home kit or scan
You can take impressions at home or pay £99 for a scan at a partner practice.
What to be aware of
- Homepage prices may not match
The homepage has shown lower figures than the checkout, so confirm the total before you pay.
- Refund pages disagree
Pages differ on whether the kit is deducted if you are not suitable, and on how long refunds take.
- No named dentist
Ask who will approve your plan and check their GDC registration.
Clinical oversight
Smile Perfect says its dentists oversee treatment remotely, but the UK site does not name any of them. Ask who will approve your plan and check that they are registered with the General Dental Council. Treatment is for people aged 15 and over with all their adult teeth, and under-18s need a parent's consent. Smile Perfect says its aligners cannot fully correct an overbite, underbite or open bite. Impressions and scans record your teeth. They are not an examination, so have a check-up with X-rays from your own dentist before you start, and get any gum problems, decay or loose teeth treated first.
Retainers, refinements and refunds
One retainer set is included, and two more sets cost £179. One refinement is included, and the refund policy values it at £300. The guarantee page goes further and promises free additional aligners if the result is not met, without a limit. The refund rules also differ between pages. If the dentist decides you are not suitable, one page says you get everything back and another says the kit or scan cost is deducted. If you reject your 3D preview, the homepage promises a complete refund in one place and a refund minus the kit and delivery in another. Once you approve the plan, nothing is refundable, though faulty or ill-fitting aligners are replaced. One page says refunds take five to six working days and another says six to eight weeks. The terms say Irish law applies and Irish courts settle disputes. They also read like terms for trade sales, with a 20% fee for returns and references to credit accounts, which makes your consumer rights harder to work out. Keep copies of everything you agree to.
Alternatives worth comparing
| Option | How it differs from Smile Perfect | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| Straight Teeth Direct | Remote treatment with an assigned dentist or orthodontist who plans and monitors your case | £1,790 plus a £69 impression kit, one retainer set included |
| Smileie | A dentist examines you in person at a partner location before aligners are prescribed | Price needs confirmation, as its pages give different amounts for the same package; two retainer sets included |
| Smile White | Treatment at a partner dental practice, with fitting and follow-up visits | £995 for a short Refresh, £1,995 and up for full packages |
More expensive options buy an examination, a named clinician or both. Our guide to Invisalign versus at-home aligners explains the trade-off.
Who this may suit
Smile Perfect may suit an adult with mild crowding or gaps who has seen a dentist recently and wants a low price with a retainer and a refinement included. The scan option suits someone near one of the four partner practices. It is less suited to anyone with a bite problem or who wants to know which dentist is responsible for their care.
Questions worth asking before paying
- Which dentist will approve my plan, and what is their GDC number?
- If I am not suitable, will the kit or scan cost be deducted from my refund?
- Does the included refinement cover everything, or are further aligners free if the result is not met?
- What is the total at checkout for the plan I choose?
- Which company am I contracting with?
Bottom line
Smile Perfect is one of the cheaper UK options, and a retainer and a refinement are included. Its refund pages contradict each other and no dentist is named, so get the refund terms and the treating dentist confirmed in writing. If your bite is the problem, see a dentist in person instead.
