NewSmile clear aligners

By Aligners.co Editorial Team

When we checked on 27 October 2026, NewSmile's UK aligners could not be ordered online. The aligner page's order button led to a missing page, and the shop listed retainers, night guards and whitening products but no aligners. NewSmile has not announced that it has stopped. If it confirms in writing that it is taking new aligner cases, check the price, the retainer cost, the refund terms and who your clinician is before you pay.

How you start
Home impressions, or a scan where a location is available, then a treatment preview. Neither is an examination, and the public pages do not say where one takes place.
Who checks your progress
Remote, from photos about every two weeks, by an unnamed network of dentists and orthodontists.

According to its aligner page, you take impressions at home or book a scan, a dental team designs a 3D preview, and if you approve it the aligners are made and sent to you.

Price

Fast Track is described as including the impression kit, the treatment preview, the aligners and a whitening foam. On 27 October 2026 the aligner page still showed it at £1,049 as a limited-time offer of £800 off, with no end date, beside a "Reg. price" of £1,849, and a monthly plan at £295 down and then £62.84 a month for 12 months at 0% APR. The order button, however, led to a page that does not exist, so neither figure is a price you could pay that day. If NewSmile offers you treatment, get the total in writing. The monthly deposit is described as non-refundable.

The page also offered an impression kit on its own for £54, so you could see a preview before committing, but on 27 October 2026 that link opened a custom retainer product instead. Ask whether the kit can still be bought and whether it counts towards the treatment price.

Retainers cost extra. You will need them for as long as you want to keep the result, and NewSmile's lifetime guarantee only applies if you keep buying new retainers from NewSmile at least every six months. One NewSmile blog post says retainers are included, which conflicts with the guarantee, so get the retainer price in writing.

Offers and discount codes

We do not list offers for NewSmile, because it is not offered as a treatment choice on Aligners.co. Its aligners could not be ordered online when we checked on 27 October 2026: the order button led to a missing page, and the shop listed no aligners.

How treatment works

You start with an impression kit at home. A live video call is offered to help you take the moulds, and a prepaid label is included to send them back. NewSmile also mentions booking a 3D scan nearby, but it does not list scan locations, so you would need to ask where the nearest one is.

NewSmile says you receive a 3D treatment preview about three weeks after your impressions or scan arrive, and that your aligners are then made and posted if you approve it. Aligners could not be ordered online when we checked, so ask whether new cases are being made and get a written delivery date before you pay for treatment. Fast Track aligners are worn 22 hours a day, and every two weeks you upload photos so the dental team can check progress before you move to the next set.

Night aligners are still mentioned on the site, but no price is shown and the page that used to sell them now sells a night guard. If you want a night-only plan, ask whether it is still available.

Support and who you are dealing with

The UK site's sales and support phone numbers are US numbers, and the privacy policy names a US company, NewSmile Technology, Inc., as responsible for your data.

In practice, expect to deal with NewSmile online or by email, and keep a written record of every contact, including dates, because refund time limits run from the date you bought.

If an aligner does not fit, report it in writing straight away. If you feel pain rather than pressure, or a tooth seems loose, stop and contact NewSmile and your own dentist before moving to the next set.

What we like

  • Kit, preview and aligners together

As advertised, Fast Track covers the impression kit, the preview, the aligners and whitening foam in one package.

  • A preview before aligners are made

NewSmile says you see a 3D preview of the planned result and approve it before your aligners are made.

  • Interest-free monthly option

The aligner page advertises a 0% APR monthly plan, although its £295 deposit is described as non-refundable.

What to be aware of

  • Aligners cannot currently be ordered online

On 27 October 2026 the order button led to a missing page and the shop listed no aligners. Ask whether NewSmile is taking new aligner cases before you pay for anything.

  • Refund terms conflict

The aligner page, the refund policy and the guarantee describe refunds differently. Get the amount you would receive in writing.

  • Retainers are extra

They are not in the Fast Track price, and the lifetime guarantee depends on buying them from NewSmile every six months.

What customers say

NewSmile's UK reviews mix retainers, night guards and aligners, and some come from customers outside the UK. Among UK aligner orders, two complaints recur: slow replies once a kit, retainer or refund is under way, and difficulty getting money back after buying an impression kit. Happy reviews are common too, usually about the fit of a retainer and good communication on a finished order. Treat these as individual experiences rather than evidence of how treatment turns out.

Clinical oversight

NewSmile says a network of licensed dentists and orthodontists decides whether you are suitable and designs your plan. No clinician is named, and no General Dental Council registration is published. The plan is based on your impressions or scan and your photos, and the site does not say whether anyone will examine you in person. The UK store's privacy policy names a US company, NewSmile Technology, Inc., as responsible for customer data.

That matters because the General Dental Council says the decision that orthodontic treatment is suitable should rest on a full assessment of your oral health, and that there is currently no effective substitute for a physical examination as the foundation of that assessment. Before you pay, ask who will prescribe your aligners, whether you will be examined, and how to reach that clinician if something goes wrong.

Retainers, refinements and refunds

If you follow the plan and your teeth do not end up matching the preview, NewSmile says it will review your case and may send more aligners free of charge. If you need more because the plan was not followed, they cost £499.

NewSmile counts 85% alignment with the preview as a successful result, so a small shortfall may not qualify for free aligners.

Refunds are where the terms are least clear. The aligner page promises a full refund if the dental team decides you are not suitable. The refund policy then lists deductions: £39 for the first impression kit, £35 for any replacement kit, £50 for each preview, and penalties from £100 depending on how long has passed since you bought. Impression kits and monthly-plan deposits are non-refundable, purchases more than five months old cannot be refunded, and once you approve your preview only manufacturing defects are refunded. The guarantee document goes further and says no refunds are accepted once an order is placed. Ask what you would get back, and which deductions apply, in writing before you pay.

The lifetime guarantee covers teeth that move after treatment ends. It promises further impression kits and aligners at no extra cost, but only after a completed NewSmile treatment with the two-weekly photos uploaded, and only while you keep buying retainers from NewSmile at least every six months. If you have a bonded retainer instead, you need proof that a dentist or orthodontist checks it every year.

Smile PerfectPostal aligners with one retainer set and one refinement included, but unclear terms£649 to £949

Who this may suit

NewSmile may suit someone who is comfortable taking impressions at home, but only if it confirms in writing that it is taking new aligner cases, and confirms the clinician, the retainer cost and the refund terms before you pay. If you want a named UK dentist, an in-person examination, or retainers included in the price, a service that offers those will be a better fit.

Questions worth asking before paying

  • Are you taking new UK aligner cases, and how do I order one?
  • What will Fast Track cost in total, and when would my aligners arrive?
  • Can I still buy the £54 impression kit, and does it count towards the treatment price?
  • Who prescribes my aligners, and will anyone examine me in person?
  • How much are retainers, and how often would I need to buy them to keep the guarantee?
  • If I am not accepted, or I reject the preview, how much would I get back?
  • Is a night-only plan still available, and what does it cost?

Bottom line

NewSmile still describes home aligners with a preview before you commit, but when we checked on 27 October 2026 there was no way to order them from its UK website, which now sells retainers and night guards. We found no closure announcement. If NewSmile offers you treatment, get the price, a delivery date, the retainer cost and the refund terms in writing before you pay.
