Angel Aligner

By Aligners.co Editorial Team

Angel Aligner, provided through dentists and orthodontists, is a credible alternative to Invisalign and Spark if a clinician you trust recommends it. The UK practices we found that publish Angel fees start lower than the published Spark fees we found, although those are different practices. The catch is that fewer practices offer it, and what you get depends on which range you are quoted.

It is made by Angelalign Technology, a company founded in China in 2003. Your clinician examines you, plans your treatment in Angel's software and approves the plan before anything is made. Angel does not publish patient prices; each practice sets its own fee. Three UK practices that publish Angel fees:

PracticePublished feesWhat the practice says is included
Christchurch Dental, IpswichSelect 10 £1,500; Select 20 £2,200; Select 30 £2,500; Select Unlimited £2,999; Pro £3,500Three sets of retainers with every package; whitening with all except Select 10
Orthodontic Excellence, SolihullFrom £3,250; average full course £4,995All appointments, remote monitoring and retainers. Specialist consultation usually £149
Shipston Dental Practice, WarwickshireUpper or lower teeth (one arch) from £1,595; both arches from £2,995Final fee confirmed after consultation. Consultation £95, or £65 for new patients

Checked 26 October 2026. Three practices are a sample, not an average. "From" prices are the lowest fee; Orthodontic Excellence's average shows how far a full course can sit above it.

The Select tiers show why the range matters: a Select 10 plan covers far fewer aligners than Select Unlimited or Pro, so two quotes that look different may be for different amounts of treatment.

If you use finance, check the APR and the total amount repayable, not just the monthly figure. Our cost guide explains what usually sits inside a quote.

Offers and discount codes

We have no verified current offer from Angel Aligner. That does not mean there is no promotion: we list one only after checking it. The prices in this review are Angel Aligner's prices without any promotion.

If Angel Aligner shows a discount or a code when you visit, check its end date and terms on Angel Aligner's own site before you rely on it, and compare the total you would pay. We list an offer only after checking it on the provider's site and recording its terms, including any end date the provider gives.

How treatment works

  1. Consultation and records. A dentist or orthodontist examines you and takes photos, a 3D scan and any X-rays they need. Check whether the consultation is free; at the practices above it ranges from free to £149.
  2. Plan and preview. The clinician plans the tooth movements in Angel's iOrtho software and can show you a simulation. It shows the planned movement, not a guaranteed result. Agree the range, the fee and what it covers before you approve the plan.
  3. Waiting for aligners. Angel makes the aligners and sends them to the practice. This wait comes before treatment starts, so ask how long it usually takes.
  4. Fitting. The clinician may bond small tooth-coloured attachments to help the aligners grip. If your plan uses elastics, Angel can build the hook into the aligner, called an angelButton, instead of bonding a button to a tooth.
  5. Active treatment. You wear the aligners about 22 hours a day. With Pro, each stage uses two aligners: a softer one for about seven days, then a firmer one for about three. Christchurch Dental describes changing aligners every one to two weeks. Some practices, such as Orthodontic Excellence, use a phone app for remote check-ins between visits.
  6. Refinements and retainers. If teeth fall behind the plan, the clinician rescans and orders more aligners. At the end you move to retainers.

If you lose an aligner or one stops fitting, contact the practice and keep your recent aligners. Do not skip ahead or force a tray that will not fit fully over your teeth. Our guides cover cleaning aligners and what aligners can and cannot fix.

Angel Aligner ranges

RangeWhat Angel says it is forPoints to check
ProComplex cases, using the 7+3 two-aligner systemAngel says a Pro order includes up to three retainers for the practice
SelectRoutine cases that do not need Pro's advanced featuresPractices may sell it in tiers, such as Select 10, 20, 30 and Unlimited, by number of aligners. Retainers are ordered separately
KiDChildren whose jaws are still growingYour clinician decides whether early treatment is needed

The range and tier describe what Angel supplies to the practice. Your contract with the practice can differ: Christchurch Dental, for example, includes three retainer sets with every Select tier as well as Pro. Angel does not set out refinements as a patient package, so ask how many rounds of extra aligners your fee covers and what happens if your plan outgrows its tier.

What we like

  • Your clinician approves the plan

You are examined in person, and the plan is signed off before anything is made.

  • Lower published starting prices

One Ipswich practice lists Select 10 at £1,500 and Pro at £3,500.

  • Retainers often included

A Pro order includes up to three retainers (Angel does not say whether these are single retainers or sets), and two of the three practices above include retainers in their fees.

What to be aware of

  • Fewer practices offer it

Expect fewer choices of clinician than with Invisalign.

  • Tiers change what you get

A low Select price may cover only a short plan; check the tier and what happens if you need more aligners.

  • Performance claims are Angel's own

Material and efficiency claims come from Angel, not independent studies.

Clinical oversight

Your dentist or orthodontist decides whether Angel suits you, approves your plan and is responsible for your treatment. Angel is offered by both general dentists and specialist orthodontists, and both kinds of practice appear in the sample above. You can check any clinician on the General Dental Council register, which also shows whether they are on the specialist list for orthodontics. For bite problems, a growing child or a case another dentist has called complex, it is worth seeing a specialist.

For problems with aligners, appointments or billing, your contact is the practice, not Angel. If a complaint about private treatment is not resolved by the practice, the Dental Complaints Service can help.

Retainers, refinements and refunds

You will need retainers after treatment to stop your teeth moving back, and your clinician will tell you how long and how often to wear them. Wearing retainers is part of treatment; paying for a retainer plan is a separate choice.

Angel says a Pro order includes up to three retainers, without saying whether that means single retainers or sets for both upper and lower teeth, and that replacements can be reordered without a new scan if your teeth have not moved. Select retainers are ordered separately. Christchurch Dental and Orthodontic Excellence include retainers in their fees, but ask how many sets and what replacements cost after that.

Refinements, refunds, cancellation and what happens if you move are set by the practice, so ask for those terms in writing before you pay a deposit.

If your practice offers more than one aligner system, ask why it recommends Angel for your case and whether the fee or refinement terms differ.

What the evidence shows

Angel's UK pages are written for clinicians. They describe its masterControl S plastic as stain-resistant and its features as improving control and comfort, and show selected case results. These are Angel's own claims, not independent comparisons with other systems.

Practice reviews mostly describe the practice, not Angel itself, so read reviews of the practice and clinician you are considering. We have not treated patients with Angel or surveyed its customers.

Who this may suit

Angel suits someone whose chosen dentist or orthodontist recommends it, especially if the practice's Angel fee is lower than its Invisalign fee for the same case and the quote includes retainers and refinements.

If you are offered a Select tier, check it covers enough aligners for your plan. If your case is complex, ask whether Pro or another system would be more suitable.

Questions worth asking before paying

  • Am I being quoted Pro or Select, and which Select tier?
  • What happens to the fee if my plan needs more aligners than the tier allows?
  • How many refinement rounds does my fee cover?
  • How many retainer sets are included, and what do replacements cost?
  • Are you on the specialist list for orthodontics, and how many Angel cases have you treated?
  • What would Invisalign or braces cost here for the same case?

Bottom line

Angel Aligner is a credible dentist-provided system, and published UK fees for it start relatively low. Choose it because a clinician you trust recommends it, confirm whether you are quoted Pro or a Select tier, and get retainers and refinements listed in writing.
