| ApproachA scan records your teeth; it is not a dental examination. | Dental exam In-person check-ups | Home kit Remote check-ins | |
| How it startsAn impression kit or a scan records the teeth. Check whether a dentist examines you in person. | An examination and 3D scan with an Invisalign-trained dentist or orthodontist. | Free e-consultation, then a £69 SmileBox for home impressions, then the £1,790 StraightBox after you see the plan. | |
| Check-ins and monitoring | An in-person examination and scan. Your practice sets check-ups, which may combine in-person visits with remote progress checks. | Remote photo screening and monthly photos in the app. The public pages do not explain where a physical examination takes place. | |
| Who plans and supervises | Your treating dentist or orthodontist plans and supervises treatment. | Unnamed dentist for the first photos, then an assigned dentist or orthodontist who plans and monitors treatment. No GDC number is published. | |

Includes £69 for the SmileBox impression kit and plan. Checked 26 October 2026

Lost or broken aligners are replaced.

| Still to confirm | Nothing specific flagged; other details may still be unconfirmed | Named prescribing clinician, and where a physical clinical examination takes place. Whether refinements are limited to one round (pricing page) or unlimited (FAQ). Humm APR and total repayable. Whether a 3D scan can still be booked. Reviewed but not available to compare
- Diamond Whites Impress acquired Diamond Whites, and new cases are now quoted at an Impress clinic.
- NewSmile Its aligners could not be ordered online when we checked on 27 October 2026: the order button led to a missing page, and the shop listed no aligners.
Who is included. A provider can be compared when we have a current review, new patients can start with it in the UK, and we could confirm how treatment starts and how progress is checked. A missing price never rules a provider out: practice-set fees are shown as practice fees or as a quote. Being listed is not a recommendation.
Providers that have closed, changed or could not be confirmed are listed under Looking for another provider? on the reviews page. Prices and terms change, so confirm them with the provider before you pay.
