Smile Perfect clear aligners

By Aligners.co Editorial Team

Smile Perfect is one of the lowest-priced mail-order aligner brands in the US, and two retainer sets, a whitening kit and a refinement are listed with every plan, which is strong value on paper for a minor case. The problem is clarity: the refund pages contradict each other, the delivery time differs between pages, and disputes go to Irish courts.

Price
$599 to $1,299Both arches: $599 daytime, $649 nighttime, or $1,299 Premium with day and night aligners. One arch from $549. Includes two retainer sets and one free refinement if the result does not match the approved preview. Details
How you start
A home impression kit, included in the price, or a digital scan instead. Neither is an exam.
Who checks your progress
Remote, through an online portal. Two treatment advisors are named, but not the dentist for your case.

The US homepage also mixes in pound prices and UK scan addresses. None of that means treatment will go badly, but it makes it harder to know what you have agreed to. If you want similar pricing with clearer terms, compare Smileie and AlignerCo. If your case is more than minor crowding or gaps, a dentist-led option is the safer route.

How treatment works

The impression kit is included in the price. You make putty impressions at home, send them back with photos, and a dentist reviews them. If you are accepted, you get a 3D preview of the planned result to approve, and the aligners are made and shipped.

The FAQ puts the time from buying the kit to receiving aligners at about four to six weeks, while its homepage promises aligners in less than two weeks. Plan on four to six weeks of waiting before treatment starts.

Daytime aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day for an average of three to six months. Nighttime aligners are worn 10 to 12 hours a night for six to nine months. Progress is checked through an online portal, and the plan list includes video sessions with a dentist.

Prices checked October 26, 2026. Smile Perfect shows higher figures beside them, but these are the checkout prices. Affirm's monthly examples come without a term, interest rate or total, so check the full amount repayable at checkout before accepting.

The homepage also advertises Fast Track aligners (about six stages per arch, two to three months, for minor crowding, spacing or relapse) without a US price, a "Perfect Smile" plan at $899, and daytime and nighttime plans priced in pounds, which appear to be left over from the UK site. Ask Smile Perfect to confirm the plan and the dollar price in writing before you pay.

Support and who you are dealing with

Smile Perfect lists customer service from 10 am to 5 pm Central, Monday to Friday, with live chat around the clock, and a West Jordan, Utah address. Progress is checked through an online portal, and the plans list free video sessions with a dentist. Two US dentists are named as treatment advisors: Dr. Pooja Santwani and Dr. Alfred Khallouf. The homepage also promotes a London cosmetic dentist, and its list of scan locations is four addresses in England. The only US scan option it describes is a scan center in Utah.

The same business runs sites in the UK and Europe, and gives an address in Dublin, which explains why its terms use Irish law. If you are unsure which company you are buying from, ask before paying. If an aligner does not fit or you feel pain rather than pressure, contact the dental team and do not move to the next set until you have advice.

What we like

  • Low prices

Standard daytime and nighttime plans run from $549 to $649, with the impression kit, whitening kit and shipping included; Premium plans cost $1,099 or $1,299.

  • Retainers included

Two sets of retainers are listed with every plan, so you do not need to budget for them separately.

  • Day or night wear

You can choose aligners worn mainly at night, with a longer treatment time.

What to be aware of

  • Refund terms conflict

The guarantee offers a refund if you are unhappy with the preview. The refund policy only refunds people who are not accepted.

  • Disputes go to Ireland

The terms say Irish law applies and Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

  • Treating dentist not named

Two US dentists are named as advisors, but the site does not say who will prescribe your plan.

Clinical oversight

Smile Perfect treats minor to moderate crowding, spacing and rotation. Its FAQ says the aligners cannot fully correct an overbite, underbite or open bite, and cannot correct a midline. Treatment is for ages 15 and up, with parental consent under 18, and you need all your adult teeth. Dr. Pooja Santwani, a San Francisco dentist licensed in several states including California, Florida and Illinois, is named as a treatment advisor, along with Dr. Alfred Khallouf. The site does not say either will be the dentist who prescribes your plan, so ask who will and check that they are licensed in your state. Impressions record your teeth. They are not an examination, so have a checkup with X-rays from your own dentist before you start, and get any gum problems, cavities or loose teeth treated first.

Retainers, refinements and refunds

Each plan lists two sets of retainers. Two replacement sets are sold for $179. If your teeth do not reach the position shown in the approved preview, the refund policy offers one free refinement, which it values at $300. Ill-fitting aligners are remade at no cost. The cost of replacing a lost aligner is not stated. The refund terms conflict. The homepage guarantee says that if you are unhappy with the 3D preview you get your money back, less the kit and shipping. The refund policy says a refund is only given if the dentist decides you are not a candidate, and that all other orders are non-refundable. The policy offers no refund once aligners are being made. Ask which rule applies to you, in writing, before you pay.

The terms also say Irish law governs the contract and Irish courts settle disputes, which would make a claim harder to pursue from the US.

Who this may suit

Smile Perfect may suit an adult with mild crowding or gaps who has seen a dentist recently and wants a low upfront price with retainers included. Smile Perfect also sells a nighttime option, which it says takes longer. Whether night-only wear can work for your teeth is a clinical decision, so ask the dentist reviewing your plan. It is less suited to anyone with a bite problem or who wants a dentist to examine them in person before treatment starts.

Questions worth asking before paying

  • Who is the dentist who will prescribe my plan, and are they licensed in my state?
  • If I am unhappy with my 3D preview, will I get a refund, and how much?
  • What does a replacement aligner cost if I lose one?
  • What does Premium add beyond having both day and night aligners?
  • Which company would I be contracting with, and where is it registered?

Bottom line

Smile Perfect is one of the cheaper US options, and two sets of retainers are included. The refund terms contradict each other and disputes go to Irish courts, so get the refund rule and the name of your prescribing dentist in writing before you pay. If you have a bite problem, see a dentist in person instead.
