Impress clear aligners
Impress is a sensible option if you live near one of its four US clinics, want genuine Invisalign with an in-person exam, fitting and finish, and can pay cash. Its fixed price covers every aligner you need. It is a weaker choice if you would rely on its finance or want the same clinician to see you at regular visits, and retainers are extra.
- Price
- $3,499 to $5,599Paid at once: plans are $3,499, $4,599 and $5,599, set after assessment, and 60-month finance costs $1,393 to $2,230 more. Includes all the Invisalign aligners you need, attachments and IPR (removing a little enamel between teeth); retainers are extra, and Impress's retainer subscription starts at $599 a year. Details
- How you start
- A free visit at an Impress clinic in Chicago, New York, San Francisco or Seattle.
- Who checks your progress
- A clinician at the clinic, not named on the site, for the start, fitting and finish, with photo check-ins in the app between visits.
The fixed price removes one of the common surprises with practice quotes, and its published prices sit inside the range one New York orthodontic practice publishes for comprehensive Invisalign. The 60-month finance costs $1,393 to $2,230 more than paying up front. Between appointments, progress is checked from your photos. Impress's own retainer subscription costs $599 a year, so add that or the price of retainers from another clinician to any comparison.

Offers and discount codes
We have no verified current offer from Impress. That does not mean there is no promotion: we list one only after checking it. The prices in this review are Impress's prices without any promotion.
If Impress shows a discount or a code when you visit, check its end date and terms on Impress's own site before you rely on it, and compare the total you would pay. We list an offer only after checking it on the provider's site and recording its terms, including any end date the provider gives.
How treatment works
- Free first visit. A clinician examines your teeth, takes a 3D scan and shows you a plan with a preview of the expected result and a price. There is no obligation to go ahead.
- Deciding. If you go ahead, you sign a treatment agreement and choose cash or finance. Ask for the cancellation and refund terms in writing before you sign.
- The wait. Your Invisalign aligners are made. This is waiting time, not treatment time.
- Fitting. At the clinic, attachments (small tooth-colored bumps that help the aligners grip) are added if needed, along with any reshaping between teeth (IPR), and you take your aligners home.
- Photo check-ins. You take progress photos in the app with the supplied cheek retractor, and the clinical team tells you when to move to the next aligner or stay on the current one. If your teeth fall behind, you may be asked to come in.
- Finishing. A final clinic visit removes attachments and moves you to retainers.
Super Light cases can take from about three months. Impress's price page gives no typical length for the other plans, so ask your clinician for an estimate and how many clinic visits to expect.
Plans, cash prices and finance
| Plan | Cash price | 60 monthly payments | Total if paid monthly | Extra cost of paying monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Super Light | $3,499 | $81.54 | $4,892.40 | $1,393.40 |
| Moderate | $4,599 | $107.18 | $6,430.80 | $1,831.80 |
| Complex | $5,599 | $130.48 | $7,828.80 | $2,229.80 |
Prices and monthly figures are from the plan tabs on Impress's price page, checked October 26, 2026. Impress does not show an interest rate beside them. Our calculation from the cash price and the payments puts all three at about 14% APR. Impress also says some plans are interest-free and that you can pay over shorter terms, so ask for every option, its interest rate and the total before you sign. The Super Light plan does not include bite correction.
Impress also lists Teen treatment from $107.18 a month. Retainers are sold separately; Impress's retainer subscription starts at $599 a year.
The price includes all the Invisalign aligners you need, attachments, IPR (removing a small amount of enamel between teeth to make space), a whitening gel syringe and a case.
Support between visits
Day-to-day questions, appointment booking and progress photos go through the Impress app, and Impress also runs a care team by phone and email. Clinic visits are needed to start, fit and finish, and may be added if the photos show a problem.
If you live a long way from the clinic, ask how quickly an extra visit can be arranged and whether a lost or broken aligner means a trip in.

- Retainers are extra
Impress's retainer subscription is $599 a year; retainers from another clinician may cost less or more.
What customers say
Impress's Trustpilot profile covers all its countries, not only the US. It scored 4.4 from about 10,900 reviews in October 2026, and Impress pays for a Trustpilot subscription and replies to many reviews. Positive reviews often mention clinic staff and quick replies in the app. Negative reviews include complaints about extra aligners and slow support after treatment ended. Reviews cannot tell you how often these problems happen, and few will be from the four US clinics.
Clinical oversight
A clinician at the clinic examines you, plans your treatment and sees you for fitting and finishing. Impress's location page calls its clinics orthodontic specialists, but the site does not name the US clinicians. Ask who is responsible for your case, whether they are an orthodontist, and check their license with your state dental board.
App check-ins rely on your photos, so go back to the clinic if an aligner stops fitting or something feels wrong rather than waiting for the next review. Your treatment agreement is with Impress's US company, Cvstom Co. of San Francisco, which is named in its promotion terms. Our guide comparing clear aligners with other treatments explains when braces may be the better tool.
Retainers, refinements and refunds
You will need retainers to keep your result, and your clinician decides the type and how long to wear them. Impress sells retainers as a subscription from $599 a year.
Wearing retainers is necessary, but the subscription is one way to buy them: a local dentist or orthodontist can also make retainers, and one Texas orthodontic practice we sampled charges $150 per arch for a replacement clear retainer.
Compare the subscription with what you would pay elsewhere.
Impress says the price covers every aligner you need during treatment, with no stated number, so ask what happens if you need more aligners after treatment has officially ended. Ask for the cancellation and refund terms in writing, and what happens to a finance agreement if treatment stops.
Alternatives worth comparing
| Option | How it differs from Impress | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| Invisalign at a local practice | The same aligners, with in-person check-ups (some practices add remote monitoring) and a practice-set fee that may include retainers | One New York practice published $3,500 to $8,800 for comprehensive treatment in October 2026 |
| Motto | Aligners from Aspen Dental offices, with far more locations, for mild to moderate cases | $2,999, including one set of retainers |
| CandidPro | Aligners prescribed by your own dentist, with remote monitoring available | Practice quote; Candid says providers average about $4,000 |
If your case is mild and you are comfortable without clinic visits, at-home brands cost less, but no one examines you in person. Our guide to Invisalign versus at-home aligners explains the trade-off.
Who this may suit
Impress suits an adult near Chicago, New York, San Francisco or Seattle with a mild to moderate case, who wants Invisalign at a fixed price, is happy to check in by photo and can pay cash or secure interest-free terms.
It is less suited to anyone outside those cities, anyone relying on long-term finance, or someone who wants regular face-to-face reviews with the same clinician, where a local orthodontic practice may be the better comparison.
Questions worth asking before paying
- Which plan have you recommended, and what is the full cash price after any offer?
- Who is the clinician responsible for my case, and are they an orthodontist?
- If I pay monthly, what is the interest rate and the total I will pay, and is an interest-free option available?
- How many clinic visits should I expect, and how quickly can you see me if something goes wrong?
- What happens if I need more aligners after treatment ends?
- What are the cancellation and refund terms?
Bottom line
Impress offers genuine Invisalign at published fixed prices, with all the aligners you need included. Pay cash if you can, because the 60-month plans add about 40%, and budget for retainers, such as Impress's $599-a-year subscription.
