Angel Aligner treatment
Angel Aligner, provided in the US mainly through orthodontists, is worth considering for its price and features at an orthodontist you trust. One Texas orthodontist charges $700 less for Angel than for Invisalign, though a New York practice charges the same for both, and the features Angel promotes for complex cases rest on the maker's own claims.
- Price
- $4,000 to $7,800Set by your practice; two practices publish comprehensive fees of $4,000 to $7,800. Ask how many retainers are included and whether extra aligners are. Details

It is made by Angelalign Technology, a Chinese company founded in 2003. Your clinician examines you, plans treatment in Angel's iOrtho software and approves the plan before anything is made. Angel's Pro line adds a two-aligner "7+3" sequence and built-in elastic hooks that Angel says help with complex cases. Ask whether your quote is for Pro or Select.

Angel does not publish patient prices. Two US orthodontic practices that publish Angel fees:
| Practice | Angel fee published | What the practice says is included |
|---|---|---|
| Limestone Hills Orthodontics, Austin, Texas | Comprehensive from $4,000 (Invisalign from $4,700); Phase 1 for children aged 7 to 11 from $3,000 | Scan and 3D X-ray, all aligners, refinements, check-ups and a first set of clear plastic retainers. Angel-brand retainers cost extra ($300 per arch on its retainer page, $400 on its cost page). |
| Smile Pop, New York City | Comprehensive $6,900 to $7,800; touch-up $3,200 to $5,200, the same as its Invisalign fees on its FAQ pages | Scans, check-ups, attachments, IPR, refinements and one retainer set. The fee depends on the Angel tier, from Select 10 to Unlimited. |

Limestone Hills offers 0% in-house plans from $149.99 a month. Orthodontic insurance, HSA and FSA funds can be used as for other orthodontic treatment.

Offers and discount codes
We have no verified current offer from Angel Aligner. That does not mean there is no promotion: we list one only after checking it. The prices in this review are Angel Aligner's prices without any promotion.
If Angel Aligner shows a discount or a code when you visit, check its end date and terms on Angel Aligner's own site before you rely on it, and compare the total you would pay. We list an offer only after checking it on the provider's site and recording its terms, including any end date the provider gives.
How treatment works
- Exam and records. Your orthodontist takes photos, a scan and X-rays, and may add a 3D image of your tooth roots, which Angel's planning software can use.
- Plan and approval. The clinician designs and approves the plan in iOrtho. Ask to see it at the office, and agree the fee and tier before approval.
- Waiting for aligners. Angel makes the aligners and ships them to the practice. The AAO says manufacturing aligners "can take several weeks".
- Fitting. The clinician may bond attachments, small tooth-colored bumps that help the aligners grip, and may plan IPR, polishing a little enamel between teeth to make space. If you need elastics, Pro aligners can have the hook built in (an angelButton) instead of a button bonded to your tooth.
- Active treatment. With Pro, each stage uses two aligners: a softer one for about seven days, then a firmer one for about three. Select uses one aligner per stage on your clinician's schedule. You wear them most of the day and night, as your clinician directs. The AAO says check-ups are typically every six to ten weeks.
- Refinements and retainers. If teeth fall behind, the clinician rescans and orders more aligners. At the end you move to retainers.
If you lose an aligner or one stops fitting, call the practice and keep your previous aligners. Our guides cover cleaning aligners and eating and drinking.
Angel Aligner treatment lines
| Line | What Angel says it is for | Main features |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | Complex cases | The 7+3 two-aligner sequence, root-level planning, built-in elastic hooks and a lower-jaw advancement option for some overbites |
| Select | Routine cases without advanced mechanics | One aligner per stage, Angel's attachments and multi-layer plastic. Practices may sell it in tiers by aligner count |
| KiD | Early treatment for growing children | Designed for mixed baby and adult teeth |
Your clinician chooses the line, and the line affects the fee.
Angel does not publish what each line includes for refinements or retainers, so your practice contract is what counts: ask whether extra aligners are included, how many rounds, and for how long.

What we like
- Can cost less than Invisalign
One Texas orthodontist charges $700 less for Angel than for Invisalign.
- Options for complex cases
Pro adds built-in elastic hooks, root-level planning and a lower-jaw advancement option.
- Your clinician approves the plan
You are examined in person, and the plan is signed off before anything is made.
What to be aware of
- Fewer practices offer it
Angel's US marketing is aimed at orthodontists, so fewer practices offer it than Invisalign.
- Efficiency claims are Angel's own
The 7+3 benefits come from the maker, not independent studies.
- Inclusions depend on the practice
Angel does not publish what each line includes for refinements or retainers.
Clinical oversight
Your orthodontist or dentist decides whether Angel suits you, approves your plan and is responsible for your treatment. Angel's US materials are aimed at orthodontists, who complete two to three years of specialty training after dental school. Ask how many Angel cases your clinician has treated and how often you will be seen in person.
For clinical problems, lost aligners or billing, your contact is the practice, not Angel. Check your clinician's license with your state dental board, which also handles complaints a practice cannot resolve.
Retainers, refinements and refunds
You will need retainers after treatment to stop teeth moving back, and your clinician sets the type and how often to wear them. Angel makes its own Halo retainer, which your practice orders, including for people treated with another system; practices can also make their own clear plastic retainers. Limestone Hills includes a first set of its own retainers and charges extra for Angel's. Ask which retainer you get, how many sets are included, and what replacements cost.
Refinements depend on your practice contract. Limestone Hills and Smile Pop both include refinements in their fees. Refunds, transfers if you move and changes of plan are set by the practice, so ask for those terms in writing.
Alternatives worth comparing
| Option | How it differs from Angel | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| Invisalign | The best-known dentist-provided system, offered by more practices | $700 more than Angel at Limestone Hills; the same at Smile Pop |
| Spark | Ormco's system, also popular with orthodontists | Priced like Invisalign at one California practice |
| ClearCorrect | Straumann's system, widely offered by general dentists | Published fees of about $2,900 to $4,700 at three dental practices |
| Metal or ceramic braces | Fixed, so they work without daily wear discipline; more visible | From $4,000 (metal) and $4,600 (ceramic) at Limestone Hills |
If your orthodontist offers Angel and Invisalign, ask why they recommend one for your case and whether the fee or refinement terms differ. Our guide to clear aligners and braces compares the two approaches.
What the evidence shows
Angel says the 7+3 sequence improves efficiency and can shorten treatment, and its site features individual cases finished in 11 to 13 months.
Those are the maker's claims and selected examples, not independent trials.
Practices also make comparative claims: one says Angel's plastic performs the same as Invisalign's, which is a practice view rather than evidence.
Online reviews mostly describe practices, so read reviews of the office and clinician you are considering. We have not treated patients with Angel or surveyed its customers.
Who this may suit
Angel suits someone whose orthodontist recommends it, particularly where the practice charges less for Angel than for Invisalign with the same inclusions, or where the clinician wants Pro features such as built-in elastic hooks for a bite correction.
If you want the widest choice of practices or are seeing a general dentist, Invisalign or ClearCorrect may be easier to find. Whatever the brand, compare the full fee, refinements and retainers in writing.
Questions worth asking before paying
- Am I being quoted Pro or Select, and why?
- How does your Angel fee compare with your Invisalign fee for my case?
- How many refinement rounds and retainer sets does my fee include?
- Which retainers will I get, and what do replacements cost?
- How many Angel cases have you treated, and how often will I be seen?
- What happens if I lose an aligner or move during treatment?
Bottom line
Angel Aligner is a credible orthodontist-provided system that can cost less than Invisalign at the same practice. Choose it for the clinician and the terms, not the brand's efficiency claims: confirm whether you are quoted Pro or Select, and get refinements, retainers and the alternative fees in writing.
